How to make a Bequest

You can make a bequest to Holyoake in a number of ways:

Percentage Bequest: You can leave a specific percentage of your estate to Holyoake.

Example text: “I leave to the Holyoake Australian Institute for Alcohol and Drug Addiction Resolution Inc, free of all duties, ______ % and direct that the receipt of the Treasurer of, or other authorised officer of, Holyoake shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor.

Residual Bequest: You can leave the remainder of your estate to Holyoake after family and friends have been provided for.

Example text: “I leave the remainder of my estate – after family and friends have been provided for – to the Holyoake Australian Institute for Alcohol and Drug Addiction Resolution Inc, free of all duties, and direct that the receipt of the Treasurer of, or other authorised officer of, Holyoake shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor.

Specific Bequest: You can leave something specific for Holyoake e,g., a dollar amount, property, shares, proceeds of life insurance, pension, etc.

Example text: “I leave to the Holyoake Australian Institute for Alcohol and Drug Addiction Resolution Inc, free of all duties, the specific items _______________, and direct that the receipt of the Treasurer of, or other authorised officer of, Holyoake shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor.

Alternative Bequest: You can nominate Holyoake as the alternative beneficiary if a named recipient of your will is unable to accept your bequest.

Example text: “I nominate the Holyoake Australian Institute for Alcohol and Drug Addiction Resolution Inc, free of all duties, as the alternative beneficially if the named recipient of my will is unable to accept my bequest, and direct that the receipt of the Treasurer of, or other authorised officer of, Holyoake shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor.”
