The State Government, through Lotterywest, will help Holyoake refurbish its head office in Victoria Park with a $1.8 million grant to continue helping Western Australians with alcohol and other drug issues.

Holyoake will use the grant to improve current inadequate disability access and security to the current office. The refurbishment will also improve the reception and waiting spaces, the children’s play and clinical spaces, and staff amenities.

The Hon Roger Cook MLA Minister for Mental Health said “Working with those on the ground to address drug and alcohol issues in our community is one of the best ways the Government can help Western Australians.

“Holyoake has been one of the go-to services in Western Australia for many years, and has helped thousands of Western Australians and their loved ones understand and overcome alcohol and other drug issues.”

The Hon Alanna Clohesy MLC, Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Premier and Susan Hunt, CEO of Lotterywest attended the presentation event at Holyoake on August 9. Also present were Ms Marylyn New, Chairman of Holyoake, Angie Paskevicius, CEO of Holyoake, Board members and members of Holyoake’s senior management team.

“We are grateful to Lotterywest and the Government of Western Australia. This grant will help make our office in Victoria Park even more welcoming and comfortable for our clients, staff and the wider community” said Angie.
