Holyoake offers programs for individuals affected by substance abuse.

Both the Heart-Talk Program and The Ghost of Alcohol Lives in our House focus on helping the child or young person understand the situation they find themselves in, explore what they can and cannot do about the situation, encourages them to understand and express their feelings appropriately and accept that they are not to blame for what is happening in their family or community.

They are encouraged to take responsibility for their own behaviour, at a developmentally appropriate level.
