These camps which are sex specific (Mens or Womens) have brought together people of all ages and provided therapeutic frameworks for healing and change on both a personal and community level. Guest speakers have included Aboriginal people from all walks of life and representatives of different service organisations.
Topics for exploration at the camps include:
- Awakening culture & spirituality
- The role of men in today's world
- Growing stronger men
- Domestivc Violence
- Dealing with grief and loss
- Supporting each other in times of crisis
- Drugs and Alcohol
Outcomes from the camps include moves to establish a regular men's group in Northam and Quairading as well as increasing access for adults to learn their Noongar language.
