Holyoake Victoria Park's programs provide relevant, practical and effective counselling and support through a variety of programs including:
 
  • Individual counselling and group programs for those using alcohol or other drugs.
  • Individual counselling and group programs to support others including partners, parents and children of those using alcohol or other drugs.
  • Counselling for couples.
 
Some of our programs include:
  • Mens Program - is for men to address their problematic use of alcohol or other drugs by addressing issues including relationship breakdown, low self-esteem, stress, grief, anger and shame.
  • Womens Program - is for women to address their problematic use of alcohol or other drugs by exploring issues of communication, relationships, self-esteem and stress.
  • Relationships in Focus Program - helps people affected by the problematic use of alcohol or other drugs by a partner, friend, or someone else they care about.
  • Parents Program - is for parents, care givers and guardians affected by the problematic use of alcohol or other drugs by an adolescent or adult son or daughter. It explores practical skills to cope with the situation and to facilitate positive change.
  • Young Adults Program - is specifically for 18-24 year olds dealing with the problematic use of alcohol or other drugs. Participants are supported as they work towards empowering themselves to make informed decisions and choices.
  • The Adolescent Program - for young people aged 13-17 years to address their problematic use of alcohol or other drugs. It encourages participants to develop their own identities, to stay safe, and reduce the harm of substances.
  • Young People's Program - is for children aged between 3 and 17 who have been affected by parental or a significant other's problematic use of alcohol or other drugs. It helps young people to develop knowledge and skills to cope with their experiences.
  • Art and Play Program - for mothers with a history of alcohol or other drug use and their children. Using art and play, it aims to build the mother-child relationship while reducing parental stress, providing support and improving communication.
  • Childhood in Perspective Program - supports men and women over 18 years who grew up in a family where alcohol or other drugs were a problem.
  • Drug and Alcohol Through-care Service (DATS) and Prison to Parole Program (PPP) - Individual counselling for men and women in prison who are eligible for parole within the next three months.  (Referrals to this program can only be received via the Department of Corrective Services)
  • Pathways to Responsible Living - an education program provided for men at Karnet Prison in WA.  (Referrals to this program can only be received via the Department of Corrective Services).
  • Drug Rehabilitation and Counselling Program (DRCP) - Counselling and support for young people aged primarily between 10 and 18 years of age who are offending or at risk of offending.  (Referrals to this program can only be received via the Department of Corrective Services).
Holyoake's counselling team works very closely with every participant to ensure that they receive maximum value and benefit from each program. Our services endorse core values of respect, honesty and self-responsibility and our belief in an individual's capacity for growth and change.
 
To make an appointment, our office hours are Monday and Friday from 8.30am - 4.45pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30am to 8.00pm.  
 
Fees apply for some programs however these are always negotiable where financial difficulties are being experienced - if this applies to you, we encourage you to discuss your circumstances with our Client Services Officer when you call to make your first appointment.  For further information on our fees, please click here
