Mission Statement
The Wheatbelt Community Drug Service (WCDST) aims to reduce alciohol and other drug related harm for the people of the Wheatbelt region, through the provision of a quality co-ordinated and professional service, targeting individuals, families and the community.
Background
The WCDST has been established in Northam since 1999 and is the primary treatment service for alcohol and other drug issues in the Wheatbelt region
The main office is based in Northam and provides services for individuals who experience alcohol or other drug dependency issues, as well as family members of the individual. The service can offer individual counselling, family mediation or group counselling.
The team currently have outreach clinics operating in Merredin, also stopping in Cunderdin, Tammin and Kellerberrin on the way. There is also an outreach clinic operating in Beverley and Goomalling.
The WCDST can assist with problems associated with drug use, such as relationship and family conflict, financial problems, health issues and legal concerns.
